October 29, 2024 - Foliage Flight with Germana |
||||||
My son-in-law's mother Germana had asked to go for a foliage flight. Our freakishly good October weather continued so German and I headed out to the airport late Tuesday afternoon. Checking the weather earlier, I discovered there was a Presidential Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) covering Essex Skypark until 4:45 PM, so we had to wait for that before we could take off. Here I am in front of the RV-7 in my hangar. Yes, I know, I really should clean and fix the place up. |

And we're off. I showed her the foliage over at the Black Marsh Natural Area.
Germana took all the following photographs.

Lots of trees on the Eastern Shore but the colors just aren't popping this year, even in the late afternoon sun. We haven't had any rain in October; could that be the reason? | ||||||

After the flight, I introduced Germana to the best pizza in the USA: Pizza Johns!
